Robert Harding Biography

Robert Harding has benefited from the strong classical guitar community in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area. Mr. Harding earned a performance degree from University of North Texas where he studied with Tomas Johnson. While obtaining his Masters~at SMU, he was awarded the Jas K. Wilson Performance Arts scholarship to study with Robert Guthrie.

Mr. Harding~has studied in Spain with Luis Rodrigo and Jose Thomas. He has been featured in live broadcasts on WRR FM and has performed around the southwest and Texas in venues from concert halls (Mesquite Arts Center, the Meyerson), outdoor stages (Wildflower Festival, Deep Elum Arts Festival, Wemberly Gathering), community centers (Plano, Garland), libraries and museums (Ft. Worth, Dallas), and  privately. Robert has most recently performed at the famed Anderson Fair in Houston. Despite all this performing, Robert has so far only received one review, but it illustrates the benefit Robert received from the strong D/FW  classical guitar community:

"Harding concluded with two works by Isaac Albeniz, Mallarca and Sevilla, each originally composed for the piano. Mallorca was arranged for the guitar by Andres Segovia. For a few minutes the entire audience was transported from Mesquite to a light, breezy island with all of its beauty and warmth; I have never been to that island, but I feel like I know exactly what it would be like to be there. To say that Harding has considerable talent would be a huge understatement. He plays with effortlessness that is at the same time amazing and considerably gratifying for the audience, and it is easy to understand why he was chosen to headline the program."
